A secret major project beckons, so we’re off to deal for a spell. To fill the void, please enjoy this sequel of sorts to that excellent “SAS in Malaya” video that we posted a few days back. The scene this time is strife-torn Angola, but the same jaunty atmosphere remains. And if this is your bag, check out the artist’s other concoctions; we particularly admire his Bollywood-style take on post-colonial African conflict.

The one about mercenaries in the soon-to-be Zaire took a pretty freaky turn when they started strapping a human skull to the front of their jeep. Yeesh.
Also, if you like the DJ Shadow track “Uptown Bollywood Nights”, you should check out the album DJ Shadow and Automator put out, “Bombay the Hard Way”.

Is everyone else here a little freaked out by all the Rhodesia nostalgia floating around? I saw a bunch links to pro-Rhodesian videos under “related videos” so I don’t want to implicate jrrylpz whose obviously doing something different here. But “less odiously racist than Apartheid South Africa” is not much to hang your hat on.

@scottstev: Methinks Rhodesian nostalgia is big exclusively among those who never lived there. A quick Googling of “Cecil Rhodes” should be enough to convince all but the most diehard fanatics that the place was no paradise. Exhibit A:

@Jordan: Love that album. By sheer coincidence, just reloaded it onto my iPod last weekend, after an extended absence. Great to get reacquainted with Inspector Jay from Delhi.
Also, Dan the Automator doesn’t work nearly enough.
