@scottstev: You have no idea how much love I have for that song, and not only because one of my high school’s chief rivals was El Segundo High. I memorized the lyrics years ago, and have been regaling Microkhan Jr. pretty much since birth. Foolishly, the kid seems to prefer “Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star.” But I’m hoping he’ll grow out of this phase.
@ADW: Strangely, I had largely forgotten about that ATCQ gem until a few days back, when I heard it on a WeFunk broadcast Truly a legendary track–and tough to see just how young Q-Tip et. al. were when they recorded it. Time flies…
If you look closely, MC Serch was also in “Peach Fuzz” near the end. Not many white guys who can pull off the lettering in their haircut quite like that.

What was I Left My Wallet in El Segundo too obvious for a trip out West?

One of my favorite songs, ever. God, did I have the hugest crush on Q-Tip.

On the “how’d they get so old?” tip, nothing ever beats KMD’s “Peach Fuzz”. Seriously, that guy is MF-DOOM now?

@Jordan: My God, I enjoyed that. Also, isn’t that Prime Minister Pete Nice walking by with his trademark cane during the intro?

Yup. 3rd Bass helped to launch KMD’s careers, so they showed up in each other’s work from time to time:
